The Saul and Claribel Simkin Centre continues to be the Personal Care Home of choice for the Winnipeg Jewish Community. We are guided by the core Jewish values of: kedushah (santity); derech eretz (respect for all people); and kavod (the honour due each person). We strive to provide innovative programs and services to our residents that meet their physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and cultural needs and that allow each resident to achieve the highest quality of life possible. While adhering to its mission to meet the needs of the Jewish Community we also welcome people of all faiths and cultures.
The work we do on behalf of our residents is done in close collaboration with key stakeholders, such as the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, the Government of Manitoba, The Jewish Federation of Winnipeg, and The Jewish Foundation of Manitoba. We are grateful for the support they provide us. We have a dedicated compliment of staff, volunteers, and physicians, without whom we could not achieve our goals.
As Chief Executive Officer, I would encourage members of our community to get to know us. We have many volunteer opportunities at The Centre. Some of our programs only exist through donated funds and we can offer a number of giving opportunities as well.
Do not hesitate to contact me directly.
